Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay in between entries. Life has been busy as usual, and in large part due to the cafe. In our countries struggling economy, focusing on our business has become more important then ever. Given time, we're sure things will improve for all of us:)
In the meantime, you may have noticed some changes taking place within and around the cafe. Yes, we have been sprucing the place up so to speak. The Mens and Womens bathrooms have received a fresh coat of paint, and will be decorated with some new pictures we hope you all enjoy. The tired old curtains that covered the top portion of the windows have been removed, and in their place a beautiful coat of paint, courtesy of Karen herself:)
The changes outside the cafe are taking place everyday. Recently a new business has opened in the new commercial building just across the lot from us. It's a beauty salon, that from what we hear, offers great services at affordable prices, from a very friendly staff. Stop in and pay them a visit when you get the chance!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!! Hope all is well, and everyone has a chance to celebrate this wonderful country we are so fortunate to call home. Sorry for the big gap between entries, our lives have been hectic as usual, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
The Cafe has been doing good. I won't say great, because as we all know by now, the current state of our economy has affected us all in one way or another. We're all in this together, and hopefully we'll all work together to pull ourselves out of this.
Leann and I just returned from a seventeen day vacation that was spent riding (me), and driving (her) down the coast of Oregon to San Francisco. We had a great time, but are glad to be back to this little piece of paradise we call home. We'll have some pictures soon to show you all at the Cafe.
There is still talk of opening for a monthly dinner floating around between us, we just haven't had a chance to solidify it, but it's coming, don't worry:) Our buy one, get one 50% coupons were a great success, so plan to see something else in the near future.
Again, we hope all is well with everyone, and wish to express our continued thanks to everyone who so generously supports the Cafe, especially in these trying times. The Cafe exists solely because of all of you. It's always a pleasure to serve you, and we hope to see you soon! Until next time...
Happy Aprils Fool's Day!!! Hi All. I want to start by saying thank you to all who have supported the cafe throughout the years. It's friends like you who allow us to continue providing our service to the Lake which we've enjoyed for the last seven years!
On another note, our 50% off coupon has been a huge success, bringing people in who have resided in the Lake for years, didn't even know the cafe existed! Look for another batch of coupons to go out soon! After this last batch we have decided to run an ad with coupon in the Lake San Marcos Community Association newsletter. We figure this will allow us to reach more homes in the area quicker then getting out there on foot!
We are still discussing the details of opening once a month for dinners, we'll let you know as soon as we work it out.

Hi All! How's everything going? Hope all is well. Last night we served our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner, and it was a huge success:) Over one hundred of our good friends turned out to support our little place, and from the numerous comments I heard last night and this morning at the cafe, everyone was extremely satisifed with their visit. This was in large part due to our excellent staff in the back of the house, Pablo and Alex. They worked extremely hard Monday and Tuesday to make sure the food was the best it could be, and it was!!!
Due to the overwhelming success last night, we've decided to open for dinner one night a month. We'll plan on serving two to three entress, take reservations throughout the month, and just make the whole experience as fun as possible. Stay tuned for more. Until next time...
Hi All! Hope everyone's life is going well in these trying times. We at Leann's have been busy distributing our 50% off coupons throughout the Lake area.
